Robin Toskin holds a Master of Arts degree in Literature and a Bachelors in Education (English & Literature). His work experience spans teaching at Secondary School level, 18 years of practicing journalism in one of Kenya’s leading media houses, the Standard Group, where he rose to become a Sports Presenter on KTN and Radio Maisha TV and the group’s Sports Editor. He has worked as Sports Analyst for Africa’s leading cable TV Supersport International. He has covered three FIFA World Cups, the Olympics, Africa Cup of Nations and has served as a FIFA Football Best Awards voting Panel. He has also served in three Government Taskforces to streamline Sports in the country where managed Media Relations with stakeholders and international sports federations. Currently as the Communication and Engagement Officer at Usawa Agenda, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting education justice through research, innovation and stakeholder engagement, he has been instrumental in managing communications, engagement and media relations with stakeholders in the dissemination of Usawa Agenda’s research findings contained in the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (FLANA Report 2023), Secondary School Survey (SESS Report 2024) and Gender Report 2024.
