Innovation is the lifeblood of research, continually propelling our evidence generation by sparking new ideas, methodologies, and technologies. It empowers us to break wild and new ground, offering fresh perspectives on education challenges and driving innovative interventions to share solutions. Whether through the creation of advanced research tools/platforms, the exploration, and collaborations among network members, or the adoption of cutting-edge approaches, innovation enables us to push the boundaries of knowledge and explore previously not easy-to-reach areas of study.

Additionally, as part of our innovation, we conduct randomized controlled trials that feed into the evidence generation and the best practices to achieve education justice.

We embrace learning from Kenya and beyond through participation in education innovative approaches such as the South to South Learning Network that contributed to the initiation of the Kirinyaga learning project, Napenda Kusoma, where we conducted a baseline survey and therefore contributed to such innovative programs.

Innovation also revolutionizes how we shall be sharing research evidence and how the findings will be understood. Digital platforms, multimedia tools, and social media channels provide dynamic avenues for researchers to communicate their work to diverse audiences. By embracing innovative communication strategies such as interactive visualizations, podcasts, webinars, and open-access publishing (blogs), we endeavour to make complex concepts more accessible and engage with broader communities. These innovations not only enhance the reach and impact of our work but also foster greater collaboration, ultimately enriching the education landscape and accelerating the pace of ensuring education justice for all.
