We carry out research and promote innovations that have the potential to improve the quality and equity of learning outcomes. As a result of the research and experimental work of Usawa Agenda, policy actors in government and education practitioners have increased knowledge and awareness of the status of education and therefore design evidence-based interventions that could improve learning outcomes and make them more equitable.
The findings from the research and experimental work are also used to improve educational policies and practices. To make the best use of available resources, we plan to conduct research and support innovations aimed at improving literacy and numeracy competencies. In some of these, our citizen volunteers and the local communities play a significant role in using the evidence (reports) to design localized solutions that contribute to improving learning outcomes.
We also highlight and support innovations initiated by schools or/and our partners to demonstrate best practices or have the potential to improve children’s learning outcomes.
