Boaz joined Usawa Agenda as an Assistant Program Officer in July 2020, on the heels of launching a status report on remote learning among school-going children during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is currently responsible for planning and executing the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessments (FLANA). Before this, Boaz worked as the lead Project Officer at Verge Consultants, spearheading the Early Grade Mathematics Assessment in Kenya. He also worked as an Assistant Program Officer at Twaweza East Africa and Field Monitoring Officer at UNOPS-Kenya. Additionally, Boaz worked with UNDP-Kenya, as a Research Assistant, seconded to the Task Force on Devolved Government (TFDG), contributing to policy development on devolution in Kenya.

Boaz holds a B.Ed. in Science and a B.A. in Public Policy and Administration from Kenyatta University, alongside a Certification in Monitoring and Evaluation from the Kenya Institute of Management. He is currently pursuing an MA in International Relations with a focus on International Development at the United States International University of Africa. His passion lies in social and scientific research, with a strong commitment to enhancing educational outcomes through data-driven solutions.
