Brenda joined Usawa in September 2020 and leads our critical operational functions, including contracts administration, procurement, human resource management, and office administration. Passionate about driving efficiency, smooth implementation, and improvement of operational processes and adherence to the HR and procurement policies and procedures.

Before assuming the role of Operations Officer in 2023, Brenda served as the Executive Assistant & Contracts Administrator. In this capacity, she supported senior leadership, overseeing contract administration, and a diverse range of operational functions.

Before joining Usawa, Brenda held diverse roles spanning education, social research, refugee and humanitarian resettlement, and community service work in government and non-profit sectors. These experiences equipped her with a robust skillset in organisational and case management, qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis and reporting, stakeholder engagement, as well as a deep understanding of complex social issues, particularly in the education and humanitarian sectors.

Brenda holds a postgraduate degree in Professional Accounting, and a double degree majoring in both Human Resources Management and Management from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia. She also holds an advanced diploma in Human Resource and Business Management from the Association of Business Managers & Administrators, UK.
